[Professional Fellows Program ’14]: Building Connections between the Philippines and the U.S.

Beginning next week, ACYPL will welcome nine delegates from the Philippines, Malaysia and Myanmar as a part of the fall Professionals Fellows Program (PFP), in collaboration with the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the US Department of State.

Last spring, ACYPL welcomed nine delegates, including three from the Philippines, the first from their country to participate in the Professional Fellows Program. Featured in this video are delegates, the Hon. Powell Del Rosario, a member of the Roxas City Council, and the Hon. Maria Hernandez Beloso, a member of the Lipa City Council who completed a three-week fellowship at the Office of the City of Alexandria in Alexandria, VA. Also featured in the video is their fellowship host, Sean Garrick, Assistant to the City Manager of the City of Alexandria, VA, who will be traveling to the Philippines in November to complete his portion of the program.
