Advocacy
___________________________________________________________________________

Returned ACYPL delegates understand better than most the important role international exchanges play in educating Americans about the world and, in turn, conveying to our friends and allies in other countries the values which buttress our democracy and our involvement in foreign affairs. That's why ACYPL encourages alumni to not only nominate their colleagues for future exchanges, but to take an active role in supporting international exchanges and advocating for an expanded international affairs budget.

One easy way to remain involved is to visit the  Alliance for International Education and Cultural Exchange's website. ACYPL is a longstanding member of this association of non-governmental organizations which formulates and promotes public policies that support the growth and well-being of international exchange links between the people of the United States and other nations.

We also recommend the website of the US Global Leadership Campaign, a broad-based, nationwide coalition of businesses, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and community leaders that advocates for a strong US international affairs budget.

For further information about how to support international exchanges or to offer your own suggestions, please contact Quentin Lide at  qlide@acypl.org.
