Internships

ACYPL seeks
applications for a full or part-time internship throughout the
year. Interns report directly to the intern
coordinator but will work closely with all members of the ACYPL
staff, including program, development, and alumni outreach.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in the planning and implementing of programs
• Prepare biographical summaries of participants
• Provide support while the delegations are in Washington, DC
• Maintain office files
• Assist with alumni communications
• Assist in other departments on an as-needed basis
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be a college junior or senior, working
toward a B.A. or B.S. in a related field (international
relations, political science, public policy) or the equivalent
in experience. Recent graduates will also be considered. The
ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self starter with
superb communication and organizational skills, and high
attention to detail. S/he must be a team player with the
ability to follow through on long term projects. Previous
experience with Word, Excel, and email systems required. Interns
are expected to make a semester commitment and work a minimum of
25 hours a week.

Fulbright Senior Specialists Program
Sponsored by the United States Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Fulbright Senior Specialists Program is a unique short-term exchange program for academics and professionals, including political practitioners. Ranging between two to six weeks, the program offers professionals the opportunity to engage in and learn from international arenas. The program is designed to increase participation, promote awareness, and create international connections between the U.S. and other nations. Offering the opportunity to broaden perspectives, the program allows for the specialization in such disciplines as: business administration, communications and journalism, economics, education, environmental science, information technology, law, political science, public administration, public/global health, and social work. Creating international collaboration, the exchange programs can include such activities as: conducting needs assessments and surveys, taking part in specialized academic programs and conferences, participating in or leading seminars or workshops, and or conducting faculty-training programs.
