Erin Conwell

Erin joined the ACYPL team in January of 2011 after serving as a summer intern. As a program officer, she designs and implements international exchange programs for American political leaders and counterparts around the world.

Erin graduated from Miami University of Ohio in May 2010 with a bachelor of arts in international studies and a minor in Spanish. While at Miami, she served as president of the local AIESEC chapter, an global NGO that coordinates international student internships. In 2008, Erin studied abroad in London and interned in the candidates’ department of the Conservative Campaign Headquarters.

Erin enjoys speaking Spanish, discovering DC, and hanging out with friends. A native of Pittsburgh, she is committed Steelers and Penguins fan.

Lauren DeAnna

Lauren DeAnna joined ACYPL as a program officer in May 2010, designing and implementing international exchange programs for American political leaders and counterparts around the world.

A native Washingtonian, Lauren attended the University of Texas – Austin where she graduated cum laude in May 2010 with a degree in Latin American studies. While at UT, Lauren was active with the university chapter of Oxfam America, serving as president in her senior year. She also worked on various human rights and social justice issues. Lauren spent six months in Peru where she studied at the Universidad Católica del Perú and interned with the women’s rights organization, Flora Tristán.

Lauren speaks fluent Spanish and has traveled to Mexico, Panama, Spain, Greece, and Ireland. She is an avid community activist, animal lover, and Mexican food and drink connoisseur.

Griffin Greenberg

Communications Manager

Griffin joined ACYPL in 2010 as communications manager, overseeing press outreach, the ACYPL website, social media, strategic communications, and messaging.

He holds a bachelor of arts in political science from The American University and studied abroad at John Cabot University in Rome, Italy.

Griffin is a total foodie, loves international adventures, live music, riding his bike, and hanging out with all the women in the ACYPL office.

Elizabeth Johnson

Outreach Manager

Liz joined the ACYPL team in August 2008 as a program officer and was promoted to outreach manager in 2011. She is responsible for the nomination and selection processes for American ACYPL delegates. In this capacity, Liz works in close partnership with American political leaders, the ACYPL Board of Trustees, corporate and labor supporters, and select nominating partner organizations throughout the country. Liz also secures American alumni to serve as state hosts for visiting international delegations and manages the ACYPL State Alumni Leaders Council.

Liz graduated from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) with a bachelor of arts in international studies. While at TCNJ she served as president of the College Democrats and studied abroad at the University of Seville in Spain and the University of Economics, Prague in the Czech Republic.

Liz is the ACYPL resident stylist. She loves international travel, teaching English as a second language, spinning, urban design, fashion, and keeping people honest.

Quentin Lide

Quentin joined ACYPL in January 2001 as director of programs and was promoted to chief operating officer in 2006. In this capacity he supervises exchange activities, global program partnerships, as well as office procedures. Prior to joining ACYPL Quentin served as director of Congressional Programs at the Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars, a Washington-based education program for college students. He also worked in the US House of Representatives as a legislative aide and district office staff member, served on political campaigns and during graduate school worked as a parliamentary assistant to a Labour MP in the House of Commons. He currently serves as a volunteer US State Department election observer in the Balkan and Central Asia regions.

Quentin received a bachelor’s degree from Boston University and a master’s degree in American politics from the University of London.

He is an avid photographer, global traveler, dog lover, and recipe experimenter.

Brad Meehan

Brad joined the ACYPL team in October 2009 after serving as a summer intern. He designs and implements international exchange programs for American political leaders and counterparts around the world. Prior to joining ACYPL , Brad worked as a counselor for Brigham Young University’s Sports and Dance Camps where he organized and managed  summer camp activities.

He graduated from Brigham Young University in 2009 with a bachelor of science in global studies and a minor in sociology.

Brad enjoys bike rides, outside adventures, Trader Joe’s, 80s music, and bare feet.

Kristin Rhebergen

Director of Programs

Kristin joined ACYPL in 2007 as a program officer and was promoted to program manager and then program director. She is responsible for all aspects of managing the ACYPL program team as well as for developing and implementing her own assigned exchanges. Kristin also oversees other special projects, including the Legislative Fellows Program and the Cairo University Model American Congress program. She previously worked for the Michigan State Senate Democratic Caucus, assisting candidates for the state Senate with campaign fundraising and field work.

Kristin graduated cum laude from Lafayette College in Easton, PA with dual bachelor of arts degrees in international relations and German.

Kristin is a political junkie, loves baking and theme parties, likes running, and specializes in solving complex international travel emergencies.

Linda Rotunno

Linda joined ACYPL in January 2008 as chief executive officer with responsibility for all aspects of the organization’s operations including staff and financial management, fundraising, communications, grants management, new business development, and strategic planning. Before joining ACYPL, she served as director of development at the Center for American Progress, director of corporate partnerships at the Brookings Institution and in various fundraising leadership positions at the Democratic National Committee and Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. She had the great fortune to serve as deputy in the US State Department Office of Academic Programs during the Clinton Administration and worked with Walter Cronkite on a television series about the America’s Cup sailing competition.

Linda has a bachelor of science in international relations/economic development and Master’s degree in French. She has traveled to 83 countries around the globe.

In her spare time she can be found trying to keep up with her 2 teenagers, swimming-biking-running, planning her next trip to New Zealand, and hopelessly attempting to read the New Yorker and New York Times Magazine on a weekly basis.
